• Description: Jacob Ruppert, Sr., decided to strike out on his own, building a plant on Third Avenue and 92nd Street in New York City in 1867. The Third Avenue Brewery prospered from the start and by 1916 Ruppert was the only non-national brewer to be in the 1,000,000 barrel-per-year category. However, by 1965, the famous old Third Avenue Brewery brewed its last batch, and was sadly demolished in 1969. Bewd with the finest natual ingredients, J. Ruppert's is back traditionally brewd and aged to appeal to today`s consumer trends toward heritage, quality and value.
